About Emma Whitner
Accomplished University of Florida Student-Athlete
An alumnus of Lake Highland Prep and four-time USA Diving Junior National Championship semi-finalist, Emma Whitner enrolled at the University of Florida in 2017 on an athletic scholarship in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in finance. In addition to managing a full-time student course load, Emma Whitner is a junior on the school's diving team. In her freshman season, she placed within the top 32 on all three boards (platform, 3-meter, and 1-meter) at the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Championships.
The following year, Emma Whitner once again competed in all three boards at the SEC Championships and finished a career-best eighth place on the platform with a score of 216.55. Earlier in the regular season, she established career-high scores on the 1-meter (277.05) and 3-meter (309.38) in meets against Tennessee and Auburn, respectively.
Supplementing her athletic achievements, Ms. Whitner made the 2018 SEC first-year academic honor roll and 2019 SEC academic honor roll. She is also a two-time College Swimming Coaches Association of America All-America. Upon completing her undergraduate degree in December 2020, she intends to pursue a master's degree in finance at the University of Florida Hough Graduate School of Business.
